Facebook, Instagram Down: Thousands of Users Report Problems Including Getting Logged Out

On Tuesday, Meta encountered widespread technical issues affecting its Facebook and Instagram platforms, as thousands of users reported encountering errors when trying to access these social media services.

Users experienced various problems, including sudden logouts from Facebook. Upon attempting to log back in, they were greeted with error messages such as "Something went wrong. Please try again." According to Downdetector, a monitoring service, error reports surged shortly after 10:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, with over 500,000 reports received by 11 a.m.

Furthermore, Instagram users complained that their feeds were failing to refresh. This technical disruption also impacted Meta's Messaging platform and Threads, its application similar to Twitter, which was launched just last year.
